O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.  Psalm 68:35

With The Eyes of Our Hearts

My friend’s youngest son when he was a toddler had the ability to hold the attention of every person in the room.  I’m not sure he knew the capability he had in doing this.  It just came natural to him.  A sippy cup protectively held in one hand, his favorite toy in the other, casually he waddled through the open door.  Not a grand entrance or a boisterous display of energy, it’s what he did next that let us know he was in the room.

He spotted an object, his eyes twinkling growing bigger the excitement of the object he saw moved quickly to his heart and traveled into his lungs…”WOW!!!” The explosion poured forth from this little guy and all our heads would turn.  For just a moment we too were caught up in seeing the same object through his eyes and “wow” it was great.

Living in close proximity to an International airport he discovered with his outdoor adventures low-flying planes.  As adults we try to forget them but not this little guy.  He would stand in awe, head tilted to the sky and again proclaim as the jet flew past “WOW!!!”  He never missed anything new, and we learned not to either.

You are awesome O God!  God works in our life and in the lives around us.  He gives power and strength to His children.  Is He working in the life of someone you know? Take notice; keep the eyes of your heart open to see what God is doing.

Proclaim the power of God.  When we see a life transforming proclaim it, let the person know that you see the Lord working in them.  Your encouragement will help them.

Praise be to God!  Finally tell God what you see and be excited about it.  Thank Him for working in all our lives.  Ask Him to continue His work.  Ask Him also to let you continue seeing with the eyes of your heart.

I have to run now; I hear a plane coming…Wow!
