When Love Shines Through Seeing the King And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Luke 21:27 We’ve often commented that my one son was born with a smile on his face and an anticipation of life in his heart. As we spoke one day, in his childhood, things about our Heavenly Father I began telling him about the day we would see Jesus. How one day we would speak to Him and live with Him. How we would get to see God and learn even more from Him. My son asked how this would happen. I explained to him that if the Lord tarries we would die and wake up in heaven. Also, it was possible that one day we would hear a sound like a great trumpet and in the clouds we would see Jesus. My sons smile grew bigger than I had ever seen, and said to me "Oh Mommy, just one more sleep and He can come? Please, please!" Bolting from the room, yelling with excitement over his shoulder he said,” Wait till I tell my sister!" I began to think when was the last time I had been this excited about Jesus coming or me going to see Him. I always look forward to that day, and, some days more than others with anticipation. But, when had I been so excited that the first person I saw I had to tell. My heart warmed at the sight of my son's innocent joy and excitement. I could feel the love and delight my Heavenly Father had for my son at that moment and I knew I must not lose that urgency and joy. Father, Your great day is at hand, may I never lose the excitement and anticipation of Your return. Father, give me words to speak of Jesus so others can know the excitement I have now. Amen.
