God Knows You’re

What-Abouts

Just For Today

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.                 Proverbs 3:5-6

“If frogs had wings, they’d fly”.  I fondly remember my mother saying to me after too many “what about” questions. I never understood what that meant; but it did stop my questioning.  Usually, I was asking these questions out of apprehension.

Moses had apprehensions too.  In Exodus chapter 4 we read how God spoke to Moses through the burning bush.  God told Moses the plan He had to free His people.  He even told Moses how He was going to do it and that He would be with Moses through the entire exodus.  But, instead of trusting what God said, Moses questioned what God was doing

.

God asks us to step out in faith and trust Him.  It seems though, that the details of our life get in the way, making it hard to take that first step.  However, God says not to rely on our own understanding; He is always with us and He will make our paths straight.  He takes care of all the details.  Is there anything in your life you’re not doing because of your own apprehension?  Do you put off decisions not sure of the outcome?  What are your “what-abouts”?  Trust God! He is the faithful one!  He is the one who makes our paths straight.

Well, frogs don’t have wings and they can’t fly.  But God’s plans are perfect.  Step out in faith and let God take care of all your “what-abouts”.
